STANDARD OIL 100 YEARS LATER: ANTITRUST AND CONSUMER PROTECTION ISSUES IN THE ENERGY INDUSTRY

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Supreme Court's landmark decision in Standard Oil Co. of New Jersey v. United States.  The ABA Section of Antitrust Law is marking the occasion with a two-day conference in Houston, May 5-6, to examine key antitrust and consumer protection issues impacting the energy industry.  The conference is being co-chaired by past Antitrust and Business Litigation Section Chairs Layne Kruse and Rufus Oliver along with Margaret Ward from Jones Day’s Palo Alto office.  Speakers/moderators include our current and former Council members Kathleen Beasley, J. Bruce McDonald, Greg Huffman, and Tommy Prud’Homme.
